  AGREM is creating friendly cropland environments with sub-irrigation systems that include wildlife refuge, reservoirs, and nitrate management.

The pictures above are from a sub-irrigation system south of Colfax Il.  This system is a project with The Nature Conservancy, Ducks Unlimited, NRCS, and AGREM.  The system has a reservoir to collect the water from the tile mains, a wetland to dissipate nitrates, a pump system that uses the water from the reservoir for irrigation, and a tile system on rolling terrain that provides, drainage, sub-irrigation, and fertilization.  Tours are available.
